Washington-Yuma Combined Communications Center is the 911 dispatch center for Washington and Yuma Colorado Counties. Covering the cities of Akron, Otis, Yuma, Eckley, Wray, Vernon, Idalia, Kirk, Joes, Cope, Anton, Lindon, Woodrow and areas in between. We provide professional emergency services dispatching for 4 Law Enforcement Agencies, 15 Fire Departments, and 5 Ambulance Agencies . W-Y Comm provides E9-1-1 Emergency Service and Non-Emergency Telephone Service to the citizens of both counties covering a 5500 square mile area that is populated by approximately 15,000.

Heartstrong Fire
On March 18, 2012 WY Comm handled the dispatch and ongoing communications for the 24,000 acre fire that occurred in Yuma County. Over 15 agencies responded, as well as many volunteers, eventually gaining control just after nightfall. One Wages firefighter remains in the burn unit at Northern Colorado Medical Center.
Tornado Siren tests will be held every Friday at 8:30am for Yuma County beginning April 6.
